Ravensburger’s 181-piece GraviTrax Spider-Man XXL Action Set is available exclusively at Costco, according to The Toy Insider’s report. Listed for ages 8 and up with a $79.99 MSRP, it combines marble-run building with Spider-Man characters and villain-themed track elements.
Ravensburger’s 181-piece GraviTrax Spider-Man XXL Action Set is available exclusively at Costco, according to The Toy Insider, combining a buildable marble run with Spider-Man characters and themed obstacles. The set is listed for ages 8 and up and has a $79.99 suggested retail price, giving families a new licensed option within Ravensburger’s STEM-oriented construction toy range.
The set invites children to build a track inspired by the Manhattan skyline, then send themed marbles across its routes, jumps, obstacles and action elements. The marbles represent Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider and Miles Morales. Track elements draw on villains including Green Goblin, Venom, Sandman and Mysterio, according to The Toy Insider’s report, which cites Ravensburger as its source.
Ravensburger and Marvel present the product as both character-based play and a building activity. The Toy Insider says players can test and refine their track designs, using critical thinking and problem-solving as they work out how to move marbles through the course. The report also describes the activity as introducing cause and effect and basic physics; those are descriptions of the intended play experience, not a measured educational outcome.
The product is named the GraviTrax Spider-Man XXL Action Set. The Toy Insider lists its piece count as 181, the recommended minimum age as eight, and its MSRP as $79.99. It says the set is sold through Costco, including Costco’s website, but does not provide information about current inventory or whether the listed price is the price at every location.
A Character Set With Building Challenges
The announcement brings a well-known Marvel license to a hands-on marble-run format, rather than limiting Spider-Man play to figures or vehicles. Children can arrange the track and observe how changes to its layout affect the marbles’ routes. That offers an activity built around experimentation, with the characters serving as a theme for the construction challenge.
For families comparing toys, the stated age guidance and piece count offer practical starting points, while the $79.99 MSRP positions the set as a larger construction purchase. Costco exclusivity also shapes where shoppers can look for it. The source does not establish how widely it is stocked, whether availability differs by region, or whether other retailers will carry the set later.
The educational framing is relevant, but it should be read carefully: the source describes skills the set is intended to encourage. It does not cite a study or independent assessment showing specific learning gains. The confirmed product details are its pieces, theme, age recommendation and retail listing—not a guarantee of an educational result.

How the GraviTrax Set Is Designed
GraviTrax sets use tracks and components that let players assemble routes for rolling marbles. In this Spider-Man edition, the route-building premise is paired with a city-skyline theme and recognizable heroes and villains. The Toy Insider describes the design as open-ended play, meaning the activity centers on assembling and adjusting tracks rather than following only one fixed route.
The report identifies Ravensburger and Marvel as the companies behind the licensed product and attributes product details to Ravensburger. Its headline and accompanying copy frame the set as a meeting point between Spider-Man play and STEM activities. The available source, however, is a product announcement, not an independent review: it does not report testing, compare the set with other GraviTrax products, or assess its durability or play value over time.
The Toy Insider also discloses that it participates in affiliate programs that may generate revenue from purchases made through its links. That disclosure does not change the listed specifications, but readers should distinguish the report’s product information and promotional description from an independent evaluation.

Availability and Learning Claims
The source does not state when the set first went on sale, how many units are available, or whether Costco stock varies by location. It also does not confirm whether the Costco exclusivity is permanent or limited to an initial release period. Shoppers may need to check Costco directly for current stock and pricing.
Other details remain unreported, including the dimensions of the assembled track, the specific components included beyond the overall piece count, and whether the set connects with particular GraviTrax products already owned. The article describes STEM skills the activity can encourage, but provides no independent evidence measuring learning outcomes. Those points should not be treated as confirmed product performance.
Check Costco for Current Stock
The next practical step for interested buyers is to check Costco’s product listing or local warehouse for availability and the price currently being charged. The Toy Insider’s report gives a $79.99 MSRP and calls the set a Costco exclusive, but does not provide an inventory update or a future release schedule.
Before purchasing, families can compare the product’s 8-and-up recommendation with the child who will use it and review the packaging for age guidance and small-parts warnings. The source announces no upcoming launch event, retailer expansion, or additional Spider-Man GraviTrax products, so any further release information remains unconfirmed.
